Biography

Mr. Levitt is a founding partner of Levitt & Gordon and has been serving the community as an attorney for more than forty years. He began his career in law as the Confidential Law Secretary to Hon. Edward F. McLaughlin, Justice of the Supreme Court, Fourth Department. His practice focuses on Real Property, Commercial Law, Creditors’ Rights, Zoning and Planning, Landlord and Tenant, Foreclosures and Workouts, and Estate and Trust Administration. Mr. Levitt is particularly known for his wealth of experience handling land transactions in the Adirondack Park. 

Mr. Levitt is a graduate of Boston University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Classics, Classical Civilization and the Arts. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the Syracuse University College of Law. He is admitted to the New York Bar and Northern District of New York Federal Bar. He is a member of the Oneida and New York State Bar Associations, and he currently serves as a mentor for the Oneida County Bar Association. 

Mr. Levitt has earned a reputation for his wealth of knowledge of corporate, real property, and land use and planning law. His interest in the law and devotion to his clients has helped him build strong relationships across an array of different clients and businesses. He practices law with the motto, “When do we do things? We do them now.” This ensures that every client’s needs are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.

Mr. Levitt lives with his family in Oneida County where he enjoys gardening, spending time at his camp in the Adirondacks, but he mostly enjoys the practice of law and the challenges it brings.
